I have owned this TV for over a year and it has performed satisfactorily. It was relatively expensive when I purchased it but it is worth every penny. Picture quality on this TV is outstanding when playing Blu Ray or Regular DVD Movies. Digital TV pictures look great too but standard definition pictures look awful. This may not be the fault of the TV though. One minor shortcoming I noticed is that it has mediocre digital tuner. Because of this it does not receive good signal with regular indoor TV antenna unless you spend some money for a quality antenna such as the CLEARSTREAM2 Antenna.

Even though Sony does not advertise it as having high refresh rate this TV show smooth picture during sporting events. The newer Bravia series for whatever reasons are inferior to this TV in performance. I am not upgrading any time soon.

You can be watching a show and the the sound goes completely out. Flip the channels back and forth and the sound will come back, very annoying, otherwise I like the looks and picture.

I replaced my old 720p 42″ Samsung DLP for the improved clarity and quality of this fine machine. It’s clear, reliable, and makes my Xbox 360 and Blu Rays look incredible. My only complaint is that I wish I had money for a slightly larger model (but really this one is perfect for my needs). Some people have complained about clarity of cable (duh, if you don’t have HD cable, it will look kind of soft. No HD TV will make standard cable look any better. I got used to it until I can afford HD cable). Others have complained about motion blur (as with any TV, you need to muck with the settings. I turned off the OPC, black level expansion, and DNR as they weren’t doing much in the positive sense. I found that having them off vastly IMPROVED the picture and completely eliminated any blurring or color bleeding). Finally the sound. It’s not bad, but I have a sound system (just an old AIWA stereo with nice speakers) so I don’t even use the TV speakers. If you are considering an HDTV, I highly recommend Sharp Aquos (not plain Sharp), Sony Bravia, and the new Samsung lines. Go LCD or LED and spring for full 1080p or you will regret it later. Trust me, you’ll just end up buying a 1080p set later if you buy 720p now.

Died after 1 year - Clayton Berry -
I’ve had the TV almost a year to the day. And it died today. For anybody thinking of buying this, please search for “Sharp Aquos OPC light blinking” on google. We’ve had the problem for a while, but you could always resolve it by unplugging the TV, waiting a second, and then plugging it back in. Now, nothing works.

Am horribly disappointed in this product.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience. If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get. Minimum size = Viewing distance/3 Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

I just received the TV today. I must say it looks pretty good. Better than any other 32″ LED LCD I could find except for the 5400 model. I will update later.

PROS:(so far) Great picture the colors are so beautiful especially after calibration, sound is okay, inputs, I like the remote, Menus are easy to use, picture wizard helps a lot, Amazon shipped promptly

CONS: The owners manual is ignorant. Its not organized well at all. There is a CD that came with it, but I would rather not have to deal with that. THE TV IS NOT SILVER GRAY! ITS BLACK. I wanted a silver gray finish since I was designing a room. Trumotion is garbage. Its choppy and gives me a headache. The TV looks great with it off. I noticed it watching the World Cup games and watching blu-rays

I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a 32″ LED. Best deal and picture that I’ve seen and I’ve researched for the past month now. In fact, all the LGs I viewed were to me and spec-wise best in their respective class.

This is an excellent TV, especially for the price point - beautiful, sharp colors, great viewing angle, very thin LED design, and light weight as compared to traditional LCDs. While I would generally prefer a larger screen, the space I bought it for - Armoire in a bedroom, would only accommodate 32in. This is a perfect size for a bedroom or smaller living space. I compared this TV against a leading brand 32in LED at a local store and while this LED was slightly thicker and heavier, the colors on the screen were much brighter and facial features much more defined than the competition - and best of all its less expensive. The design is very modern - sharp lines, thin LED. It states Silver Grey in the description, but the bezel and stand are glossy black. I like it so well, I just ordered another one on Amazon.com!
