Winegard AP-8700 Preamplifier High Gain Low Noise 19 dB UHF 17 dB VHF for HDTV Antennas Review
Purchased a year ago, when the numerical variation in our antennae old value. Our cabin is about 100 miles from the radio tower, a new long-range antenna Winegard made us buy a station, nestled in the c. I ordered it dissolved the pre-amplifier, installed near the tip of the antenna problem. We get the three local stations and two public television stations. The image is stable, clear and sharp. Closing the cabin for the winter, is back this spring, connected to the preamplifier, and webetter go for the season. Read the installation instructions (as specified MFG), and the results be as good as ours.

Winegard AP-8275 Preamplifier High Gain Low Noise 28dB UHF 29dB VHF for HDTV Antennas Review
I live about 70 miles from Chicago and this amp has a DB8 antenna (in my attic) I get ABC, NBC, CW, PBS, FOX, UPN, ION, Telemundo, Univision, and a few others, all in HD, with over 85 percent signal strength. No CBS tho. This has the local South Bend (with local CBS), I get between 38-42 digital channels. Most HD.
When I installed this amp Winegard, I lost a couple of local TV stations had a total of only 12, some with low signal strength. It 'was disappointing becauseI read that happened to another reviewer who rated the amp a star. But I have all my self-RG6 Twist-on connectors, some have not been installed in contact with the wires of the coax braid. I cut with the tool crimper … daaah! I love this twist-on connectors because they can use over and over again.
The manual says to install additional amplifier in-line is fixed for each recipient when a splitter is used. But I did not need. The antenna and amplifier are installed in myTop floor (2 storey house) up to four times connected Splitter 5000-1000 MHz, then the distributor is a journey of over 20 feet in my bedroom Panasonic LCD RG6 coax cable, and about 35 "on the LCD Samsung in my family room (the Samsung receives some channels more than the Panasonic)
I also have two digital converter boxes that Obama paid current. I love them and are then completed with five star reviews.

Purchased a small antenna footprint. After testing the antenna to an amplifier at home, but without an amplifier for the antenna, I was ready to send it back for a bigger antenna. But he decided to try this amp. What made the difference. I can use the antenna is less intrusive, which is also much easier to install stick. It's worth the money.
