You can search various forums and know that this antenna is 90% in 4228 (in some cases over 100%) for about half the price. The design of the 4228HD is imperfect, and it is right. It works fine for me, but I'll try some adjustments to make it directional (hack looking for more information CM4221HD) and fix what I think is a manufacturing defect (the balun should be removed from relector – not between the reflector and the "beard") and probably try some of theOthers have suggested that hack is not permanent. The only antenna that I would be very directional 91XG for a replacement plan, and the trees, I'm getting my signal. The best and the multipath signal is probably even more. The cost is 2X it. This is a great antenna for people who 1) 30 miles or farther from the antenna (about 60, if you are using the CM7777 amplifier), 2) do not need a super-directional antenna by hills or trees, and 3) doUHF needs (I use a separate VHF antenna to get to 7 and 9 in the Washington area). Be sure to visit or tvfool antennaweb know what your receiving frequency is available, so do not disappoint if you are not your VHF. This is not a VHF antenna!
Like Amazon, but I saved 10 million paid $ 34 plus tax with free shipping anywhere else (if not better, I think I will keep the ace in the hole). Mine is outside the top of a 30 'tower with a preamp and rotator. I am behind a hill and treesI need the height. I searched the attic, but with the cap and amp, it was not good enough.
I have 30 channels and subchannels. 25 of them are on this antenna. Dump cable and satellite! Or do we want to OTA (Over The Air) station as a backup and keep your monthly service fee. OTA is actually superior to that definition cable and satellite, in passing. It is magic. This is not really a short-range antenna. This is a directional antenna in the medium to long termPerformance – perhaps almost as much as the 91XG balun patch and hacks – we'll see. It is not as long distance and direction of others, but in difficult terrain or disorders of the building, an antenna very well. As always, performance can vary, but if you get a signal with an internal antenna, which will surprise you prepare.
BTW, your antenna "old" on the roof can be excellent, it is – not to think, is really misleading thing as an HDTV antenna.There are all the antennas and RF TV signals are RF, HD or not. There are UHF, VHF and antennnas Combo – the latter especially in the "old" antennas. You do not need the old VHF and UHF antenna you're probably not as good as this, but it could be. If you have a good (read "big") plus antenna, will not be surprised to ensure that it is not necessary the most VHF.
