My house is located at 13 miles north from Chicago TX stations in downtown.
Several big trees are blocking the line of sight from the right front of my antenna on chimney.
At first,I tried with an antenna Mod# DB4 due to its small size, but it gave me frequent dropping signals out on most channels I could get and no VHF high channels(CH2,CH7).
Therefore, I chose this antenna(Mod# CM-2020) which has strong directional and gain on UHF and high VHF channels. This antenna works perfectly for me except snowy of CH41(analog signal), even though its very long antenna.

RCA ANT1450M Multi-Directional Digital Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna (White) Review
If this antenna for over a year it is out (which I recommend), although it is not an external antenna. You're connected to my HTPC computer and will each receive D-TV and HDTV channels in my area, 17
Note:
Almost every HD antenna, which is for internal use only does not work very well. This antenna is said to be used only indoors, but can be made out, and I recommend it for outdoor use that it works better this way. Plus find looking for an antennaone who works for VHF (channels 2-13) or UHF (14-69) due to signal FCC license digital channel, a channel list was made final in each market. Because of this only in certain markets, both UHF and VHF channels are available.

This thing is huge, but it certainly works as advertised. Now I have 31 channels, 24 vs. I used to get with my 20 years (was broken). I have received signals from some stations, I do not even know. The measures included only post about 5 m, so that you can probably install a need for the antenna at a suitable height. Sometimes I turn to get the signal from channels.It certainly done all depends on where you live. Visit to learn which channels [...]available in your area and where it is necessary to point the antenna. I live in the mountains and many indoor antennas are useless, so if you need to buy an external antenna with good extension, which is the right one.
