Antennas Direct DB8 Multidirectional HDTV Antenna Review

Frustrated with ever-rising cost of cable TV and bad customer service, I had to rethink whether I really need cable TV. I do not Guck TV much, and most programs on cable TV is garbage anyway. All we really need is local stations for news, sports, and the occasional sitcom. I was thinking of downsizing my cable to basic services () only locally, but I would still dealing with the dispute. Furthermore, these basic services are not digital HD signals on my TV: Ito pay the cable company extra for this. You really nickel-and-dime you.
I bought Antenna for High Gain Antenna Direct DB8: These 8 elements reception do a great job of collecting over-the-air digital signal. I live 40 miles from the nearest town with radio transmitters. I put this antenna in my attic after mounting on J-Mount (40 "J-mounts) at 2 meter square piece of plywood (mounted on the top floor, and can be easily repositioned in this way, although probablynever need to use), then I patched in my current network of RG6 coaxial cable (which I run through the attic). I also have a signal booster (Motorola Signal Booster 484095-001-00) to my network.
The signal strength (with a signal booster attached) is very good all bars () for local stations, and the image represents, if not better than the local signals have cable TV. It should be noted that this antenna really went to the Super Bowl (Geaux Saints!) If the cableService was dense. I canceled my service with cable TV and are now saving $ 60 a month. I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend it.
ATTENTION: I have yet to purchase cable modem service and have the separate networks. Thus, the outlet is for my cable modem, does not receive a signal from the antenna, and vice versa: the TV receives a signal from the cable modem service. I have minimized these problems for both, might have something with the cableCompanies are not filtered TV signals from my house. If they start to filter through, I can probably recombine networks.

Antennas Direct DB8 Multidirectional HDTV Antenna Overview
Intended for people at great distances from the transmitters, the DB8 is our most powerful multi-directional HD antenna. In fact, its 15.8 dB gain make it one of the most powerful multi-directional antennas available. The bow tie design of the DB8 uses triangular elements instead of rods to greatly increase the bandwidth allowing it to cover the entire UHF band. Additionally, the mesh reflector of the bowtie is more efficient than a rod reflector, is lower in weight, and provides less wind resistance for greater performance and durability. This DB8 is the ideal antenna for use in locations that can pull long range signals from various directions and offers an attractive alternative to using a directional antenna mounted on a rotator.
