Toshiba’s G300U Series HDTV with 1080p high-def resolution and 120Hz ClearFrame capability for eliminating motion blur (see larger image).

The attractive front panel gradation of Toshiba’s Horizon design (see larger image).

ClearFrame 120 doubles the frame rate of standard LCD TV, providing crisp and clear imagery regardless of image motion.

It provides a number of convenient home entertainment options and key picture quality features, including DynaLight dynamic backlight control for deeper black levels and four HDMI digital inputs for simple high quality connection to cable/satellite boxes, DVD players and more. Plus, the HDMI ports feature fast InstaPort switching for quick changes from one source to another.

Boasting a slimming tapered bezel and attractive front panel gradation, the new Horizon design creates a more modern, elegant appearance that also adds a subtle luminance to the logo to further its stylish appeal. Other features include MP3 playback via the integrated USB port, a PC input, and a removable stand.

Key Features

  • 1080p HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels)
  • ClearFrame 120Hz screen refresh rate virtually eliminates motion blur, making this HDTV a great choice for fast action movies and sports. Toshiba’s ClearFrame 120Hz system doubles the frame rate of an LCD TV from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second using superior Motion Vector Frame Interpolation technology.
  • DynaLight Backlight Control utilizes advanced image processing to monitor the brightness of each video frame, and adjust the backlight intensity accordingly. This precision creates seamless transitions with deep blacks for increased detail and depth analysis.
  • Photo Frame capability allows this HDTV to act as both a TV and a digital photo frame. You can showcase your favorite memories as a clear, crisp slide show on the high-resolution television screen–all controlled with just the TV remote.
  • Gaming Mode takes the gaming experience to a new level by reducing game control delay, thus giving the player improved reaction time and a more realistic playing experience. This is great when used with popular gaming consoles, or with PC games using the TVs PC Input.
  • Built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital tuning allows for tuning of standard cable channels as well as off-air digital broadcasts, in addition to digital “cable-in-the-clear” broadcasts.
  • Native Mode restores the size of the picture by the 3-5 percent that is generally lost during the normal over-scanning that occurs on traditional sets.
  • Cinema Mode 24 fps (3:2 Pulldown): This HDTV performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too–a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture.
  • Color Temperature Control enables you to adjust white balance to achieve the best television picture possible in any viewing environment, or simply adjust the picture to suit your personal tastes. The “Warm” setting delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room, while “Medium” and “Cool” provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

  • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
  • Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

When it comes to television, things could not be more dynamic. While the TV a few decades were simply compared to the screens of today, were the latest technology in time anyway. A day projection hdtv digital TV is getting old, are considered today, but currently provide the best image quality, TV-screen is perhaps a great one.

People want more and higher quality, larger screens and realistic sound of their TVSet. direct demand for large screen, it is not surprising that their prices have dropped significantly making it accessible. While a few years ago by a projection of $ 10,000 can be purchased from an hdtv for several thousand dollars, maybe more, now you can with a 52 inch set for less than $ 1300. At the same time, technologies have been developed, which means that many of the drawbacks of the first generation of rear projection TVs are nowdisappeared. is, in fact, if one compares the projection TV with a modern device for the first series, you will find some similarities with the specifications and quality.

The main advantage of a rear projection TV is a huge screen. I can not find a similar size screen for the same price as a rear projection TV. Why are more and more movies are recorded in HDTV, projection TV manufacturers like Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic and Samsung are offering their backThe models with full HDTV support. While the lcd offer small, such as 720p disputes, projection screen TV, HDTV offers 1080p full compliance. For example, some of the smallest high-definition projection TV market 36 or on the extent 42 inches in diameter, with great determination and image.

One of the largest projection TVs customers drawbacks were the blind spots thatappeared on the screen after being used because of the short duration of their lamps. New projection TV offering life much longer, which means that you actually remember the TV is working on powerful lamps. At the same time, the first models were strong enough, even the fans have been active. Projection HDTVs use modern cooling solutions combined with intelligent energy-saving lamps or LED operation which translates a lot cooler. Manufacturers also new TV TunerThe models, which means that TV stations can be received with much higher quality. You can connect all types of video sources to a rear projection TV (a PC or laptop, DVD, Blu-ray or HD old VHS tapes), making it a very flexible solution. Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 46SV670U 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with LED Backlight and ClearScan 240, Black Review

I waited about 10 months, my opinion on this TV writing. Like some other people here, I bought it at 6th Avenue Electronics. I went to the store with the money for a device similar to but much more expensive Sony. The clerk told me that at first glance a Pannasonic plasma little they had for sale I did not see, think big, then he showed me this TV. He was sitting in a series of Samsung and Sony TV, and 10 or so in the field, this TV as clearly the best. The color was veryrich and vibrant. Then he told me that the price was $ 700 less than the Sony I wanted to buy.

I refuse to do something so great to buy without reading reviews, so I went home and searched. The worst things I saw were some instances of audio failed, and the lack of connection to the Internet. I decided to go with him …. I have a 27-inch monitor for my PC … I really do not need an Internet connection on your TV. Better yet, it was sold on Amazon, and when I went back to 6th Avenue, meetthe price! I felt like a winner this time …. $ 900 cheaper than Sony and honestly looked better than Sony in this area.

10 months later, this TV is incredible. I have both the PS3 and 360, both connected via HDMI, and they look great. I watched Saving Private Ryan, and last weekend was just surprised. 10 months and is in possession !!!!! HDTV looks great, as well as classic cable seems too good. And I have no problems with soundall.

This TV is one of the best purchases I've ever done in my financial life. I buy for my cellar! The most rewarding was when I hook my friend half his $ 4,000.00 Samsung LED TV half an inch thick, then hear him say: "Dude, my TV better."

Toshiba 42LX177 – 42″ REGZA Cinema Series LCD TV – widescreen – 1080p (FullHD) – HDTV – gloss black Review

I read review after review I bought this TV. The two incidents that I read were: 1) Price and 2) the green color instead of black. I bought the 2007 model at the end, and got $ 500 bonus, so the price was for my TV is very small (and I would recommend this video for the purchase, recommended not only the personnel available and competent, but are not equal and discounts on products such as wall and accompanying HDMI cable). The problem with the green /only on the black does not exist on this package. Once I had the TV (my 46 ") before it was completely out of the box, I plugged in the DVD standard and staged scenes from movies like Star Trek Transformers The Lord Matrix, Spiderman, Rings, Serenity, and many other films with special effects and I can say that black is black and the image is very realistic and amazing!

Singularity, which I found: For some reason, not for the VIDEO 2the clarity of video images taken with a standard DVD player. The VIDEO 2 jacks on the side of the assembly, and therefore designed for use with gaming station, and then perhaps a different form, or something to that effect. The picture is still very good, with a DVD on the achievement Vid 2, but it is better to first Vid I think the game is a bit 'thicker than others, with the support (extension bracket) is about 7 cm from the wall, and all generate some 'heatbut I think that what is always most large televisions.

I highly recommend this series if you want a nice flat screen.
