Sony has finally brought 3D capability to its popular Bravia XBR series of HDTV sets. With the new XBR-LX900, they just might have created the ultimate HDTV (until next year, of course!). This set features a 3D transmitter, integrated Wi-Fi, and all the other tech you would expect in a high-end Bravia.

The first HDTV in the XBR-LX900 series, which should be available by the summer of 2010, is an enormous 60-inch set. This model has full 1080p resolution for ultimate sharpness, an Edge LED backlight for optimal contrast, integrated Wi-Fi for flexibility in viewing content, and a 240 Hz frame rate to enable perfect smoothness and for the 3D functionality.

Let’s take a closer look at that 240Hz specification. You may remember from science class that a Hertz (abbreviated ‘Hz’) represents one cycle per second- of anything. When we’re talking about an HDTV picture, Hz refers to the number of images that can be shown on the screen every second.

Four years ago, almost every HDTV operated with a frame rate of 60Hz, or 60 frames per second. This was good, and gave a nice smooth picture for most viewing. But, some content is filmed at a different rate, and so would make the image seem to jump or stutter when fast action is displayed. Thus, 120Hz HDTVs were created to fix this.

Now that we are entering the age of 3D HDTV sets, we need to boost the frame rate again. This is because the new 3D technology works by sending images alternately to one eye and then the other (through the special shutter glasses) so that each eye sees a slightly different picture sequence. However, this means that each eye will have to skip every other frame and see half as many images per second. Doubling the rate to 240Hz solves this problem while retaining the smoothness of a 120Hz picture.

This technology is currently only in the top of the line sets in the Sony Bravia series, but hopefully, it will trickle down to the more affordable sets soon.

Which is the best of Sony Bravia XBR Series for 52-Inch LCD HDTV? Buyers seem to think that the “XBR7″ should be better model than the “XBR6″ I’d say it depends, because hardware specs and especially the prices between these two models are quite different.

The good:

Besides the difference of prices,  We noticed that Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR6 has better grayscale variation than KDL-52XBR7, Bravia KDL-52XBR6 is also a better power saving TV. (272.63 Watts vs 285.68 Watts)  So we would  choose KDL-52XBR6 as the winner of this Sony family war.

The bottom line:

The 52-inch Sony KDL-52XBR6 LCD is a bit too expensive for the level of picture quality it delivers, but its styling and best-in-class black levels can send it to the top.

So I was ecstatic to hear that myDave has brought a friend and even more pleased when he saw me to be invited to take a look! Dave bought his 52-inch Sony Bravia LCD TV EX700 last week, so I had to go around and see what he was doing there so much fuss, the first thing that struck me was the wonderfully beautiful picture.

The colors are rich and sharp and to demonstrate the immense depth of blacks and of course the HD LED makes it all so clean and strong.

Dave put in a Sony Bravia EX700 Family Roomand he has a really nice home theater set in addition to its LED TV and really bring out the best of it! His set-up includes Pioneer Elite SC-25 receiver, LG Blu-ray Center and Boston Acoustics speakers. It 'really a set of first class and we saw an avatar, this was a really great viewing experience. The action sequences are crisp and clear color and the pulse, it was excellent no doubt.

After seeing me, Dave has his opinions about the pros and conshis new Sony Bravia HD LED TV.

Of course, it is quite enthusiastic about the picture quality and clarity. He was upgraded from a Samsung 46-inch LCD, the Sony Bravia 52 inch LED TV EX700. Here you feel the image is much better, even if only slightly. I must admit I thought the difference was more "marked" with the new Bravia picture is much better - opinions, eh?

I do not know exactly why I feel, but although the screen is much larger than is theColors just seemed to shine more and the image was still a bit 'cleaner.

In fact, the image of Dave Blu-ray, we are simply not of this world. Most would agree that Avatar is a thin film, however, the Blu-ray HD 1080 has only done a really great view, and I think that is certainly in some way by the excellent performance of the Sony Bravia 52 EX700 inch LCD TV.

This is a package with the great Jack EX700 52-inch Sony Bravia LCD TVincluding a free wireless dongle! Dave is wired, but the display on the Internet was good. OK, not as sharp as the Full-HD, but still not bad.

There is also a great looking piece of kit. The screen is a glossy black surround, surround it simple spark. I'm sure it will be terrible to clean, but a week old, it looks great!

A small drawback is that the channel change was the slow part. This surprised me a little 'when I have a Samsungand I know that they got rid of this annoying problem. But in the overall scheme of things, it's a minor complaint.

Overall, the Sony Bravia 52 inch LED TV EX700 is a great piece of kit offers an excellent viewing experience and a great value for money, highly recommended and I know that Dave is over the moon with his capture .. . It is not easy to please when it comes to its HD-TV!
