VIZIO VF551XVT - 55″ LCD TV - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - LED Backlight technology - HDTV Review

For years I have the same early 1990's vintage TV 26-inch tube, waiting to come a day when a great TV show with a large picture on the market at a reasonable price. When buying gadgets, it's really easy to put off the purchase with the words: "It will be better and cheaper next year." I finally found a screen that I had to say: "It will be better and cost less next year, but only a bit 'better and a bit' less." It was time to buy.
TheSpecification for high-definition 1080p high, unless it moves into digital theatrical market. It seems that the signals of cable television signals, DVD movies and other media by all the above or below 1080p at this time, and no medium to high resolution is expected in the near future. The 1080p screen is good as it should be for the future.
Television shows are at 30 frames per second (Technically, 29.97, broadcast), usually at 60 interlaced fieldsper second. Movies will be at 24 frames per second. To achieve smooth, with the average TV, ran a screen on a multiple of 60 per second. To achieve progressively film, has a screen running at a multiple of 24 per second. A screen of 120 per second (120 Hz) is running television can reduce the material to be repeated every field show twice, and can easily see the film five times in each frame. So a 120 Hz screen is sufficient for optimal results with the media, both television andFilm.
With regard to size, bigger is better, until the screen is too large for comfortable viewing, depending on room size and personal preferences.
Another consideration is the input. This screen has five HDMI inputs, RGB computer with an analog input analog audio, S-video, A / DTV TV input, two component video inputs and audio and an audio output. One of the HDMI and component inputs on the left side (front view) on the screen rather than onon the back. That is a lot of inputs, it covers virtually every need that I can think of.
This monitor offers several user-configurable settings. In most cases, the default values seem appropriate.
The image "setting" settings are preset for different types of source material, "standard" and "film" seems the most useful for me. I set the color temperature adjustment.
The H / V position and format settings are useful. Some TV channels have a couple of rows of pixelsGarbage nervously, is beautiful, the vertical position, to hide them because they are very annoying to adjust. Some channels are some green columns of pixels on one side or the other, hides the screen makes them look more beautiful.
An important feature of adaptation "display mode". This screen has five settings: "Normal" (the pictures will be shown in 4:3 format with black bars on the sides), "generic" (4:3 images stretched across the width of the screen), "Zoom" (images in Widescreen scale proportional towidth of the screen, even if these cuts from the band up or down), "Stretch" (stretched widescreen image with black bars on the sides, across the width of the screen) and "Panorama" (the edges of 4: 3 images are stretched, but received by the Centre remains a-live).
Since this is my first high-definition screen (with the exception of computer monitors), I'm not ideal for judging the quality of images compared to other sets. To my untrained eye, it looks good, and save itlooked about as good as other sets of the same size.
The audio quality seems good for the speakers should be built, but a fantasy-screen like this in a separate audio system.
Since this screen seems to have all the features that make it the next few years, good quality and a very low price, is a good choice - at least until something better comes.
