When watching movies with a HD hometheater.info” title=”buy home theater”>home theater projector, you will never go back.

Here are some things to be aware of buying what is right for you.

Resolution

When shopping for a home theater projector, one of the most importantFactors that will always keep an eye on the size resolution. You should think for the projector to serve you, the type of media that are seen more frequently, and all HD channels and movies that you see now and in the future.

The reason why this should be regarded as projectors, sometimes specifically designed for certain tasks. So what you should know about size and resolution of quality? At higher resolution, so the number of pixelsIn principle, leads to superior image quality.

Contrast

Another critical component of the evaluation is on the scene contrast ratio projectors at home. The most expensive and high quality fixtures provide a higher contrast ratio, ie the contrast between colors. This is particularly true for black and white. The greater the contrast, the more you can expect to pay for the projector.

Lumen

SomeAttention should also be placed on the production of light, or light, in the electronics world, when deciding on a projector. This refers essentially as the image will be bright. If a projector has a lot of lumens, the picture will be brighter, see the translation in more vibrant colors in the picture. As you can imagine, the more lumens the projector has, the bigger the price tag.

The amount of lumens you is somewhere in the range of 1000 to 4000 for a quality systemProjector.

As critical as the projector right to get the most out of your viewing experience, the projector should not be overlooked. The screen is what the projector is the film or media exhibition. The purpose of these screens is to improve further the quality and image brightness.

If only the current budget to a GET-quality projector, but not a screen, there is an alternative. If a portion of a wall in your house, smooth out and cover with a dish of white, you can still get good results.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

  • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
  • Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Great Picture. Poor sound

Review Date: November 27, 2009

The picture on this unit is absolutely outstanding which makes the "tin can" sound of the speakers all the more disappointing. Bought this unit for it's compact size and good looks. Hit the mark there. If using a seperate amp/speaker is an option then buy this TV otherwise shop for one with better sound.
Mixed review

Review Date: December 2, 2009
Reviewer: J. Lee,
Bought this because of the vga and QAM tuner. Have mixed feelings about this monitor. Picture quality is very good and a 22" HD TV/monitor 3' from your face is virtually a big screen TV. There are some nagging issues about this TV/Monitor

Pros:
Good picture quality
Good design
HDMI, Component, Composite, VGA inputs
Low cost...got it for $216 shipped from Tiger Direct

Cons:
Can't get all the clear QAM channels that I can with my older Panasonic EDTV plasma. I even connected it to the same splitter and tried all possible combinations of channel scanning. The physical User's manual doesn't state it has a QAM tuner even though Viewsonic's website says it does. The box does state that it can receive "Clear-QAM digital cable".

Cannot skip over or delete unwanted digital cable channels! Can only delete the analog ones. It's very, very frustrating. Half the channels are one's I don't care to see (religious, shopping, gov't etc..)

Sent Viewsonic an email asking about the QAM issue and it's been over a week and haven't heard back. At this point I don't know if the set or tuner is defective or whether it's supposed to be that way.

Wrote Tiger Direct letting them know about the QAM issue and they immediately sent me a return shipping link no questions asked. I've printed it out and have it reboxed. Been considering the price I payed for it and the added component, composite, S-vid and hdmi inputs and overall price and quality. I figure I'd be paying $160-180 for just a 22" VGA monitor. For $216 I have a VGA monitor with all the AV inputs......hmmmm. If anybody else has the same set and can comment on the issues I'm having I'd much appreciate it.
HDMI woes

I bought this as a monitor to use with an HDMI device I have. I also have a ViewSonic VX2260WM, which works fine with my HDMI device. With my new VT2230 HDTV, there is no output when I connect my HDMI device to the VT2230. It could be the device - I don't really have a way to know. However, it is odd that my device works with another ViewSonic device that is also a 22" LCD monitor.
Poor Sound quality

Reviewer: Seba,
I bought this product to use it as a monitor for my laptop, but when i try to use the Full HD resolution (1080) the icon's edges looks very bad.

Also the sound when you are using the TV is depressing.

Great Value for money if it didn't break

I edited this review and gave it a one star because it quit working after two weeks. Tiger direct (The seller) was real good about taking it back and refunding my money.

Bought this for a bedroom TV and it works great. Got it for $199 from Tiger Direct through Amazon and the value for money can not be beat. Full 1080P and computer capable makes this one of the best buys I could find.
Shopped around and some of these at this size are going for $300 to $400 at only 720P in stores and some did not even have a PC hook up either.
The only downfall is if you have it sitting high up you can not tilt the screen downward. I put a spacer under the back of the stand to tilt it forward for better viewing. It does tilt upward.
The on screen display is hard to see from a distance too but I can live with the faults for the price I picked this up at. Have not plugged a computer into it but Viewsonic has been making computer monitors for a long time and this would probably be a better monitor than TV although the TV works just fine. I had to refer to the manual to figure out how to scan for my digital cable TV signals but once I pressed the right buttons it scanned all of them with the QAM tuner with no problems.
